Native Product Design
When I started at TicketSwap, the app wasn’t yet a fully native experience. Instead, it relied on webviews, which led to slower performance and missed opportunities to harness the benefits of native development.
One of my first tasks was to design a native app experience that not only enhanced performance but also set the foundation for seamless maintenance and scalability for our team.
Home
Search remains the most essential feature. By pairing it with discoverable content tailored to fans’ locations, we designed the Home tab to feel truly native and intuitive. It’s the central hub for exploration, connection, and discovery.
Detail page
Whether it’s a single ticket or multiple, we made selling straightforward and seamless. Each listing can include detailed seating information or personalized comments. To ensure a flawless experience, we developed multiple designs that addressed all possible scenarios.
Selling tickets
Our goal was to make selling tickets on mobile effortless. To achieve this, we harnessed the power of native functionality, followed familiar OS patterns, and added innovative features that elevate the experience. Selling tickets has never been this easy—or this enjoyable.
Ticket import
Importing tickets from email directly into the app became a game-changer. Once a fan logged in, we made attachments immediately accessible by showcasing results at the top. It’s simplicity, reimagined.
Select tickets
Selecting tickets has never been more intuitive—even when multiple tickets are bundled into a single PDF. We focused on creating a smooth selection process, ensuring fans can easily manage their tickets without unnecessary hassle.
Account
The Account tab was redesigned to be native, intuitive, and essential. It’s where users find everything they need, including their offline-stored tickets. We ensured fans can access their tickets anytime, anywhere—no connection required.
Ticket viewer
With offline ticket storage, we introduced a custom-built ticket viewer. Fans can now experience a UX upgrade with thoughtful details: automatic barcode cropping, brightness adjustments to 100%, and the addition of haptic feedback. Each interaction feels deliberate and delightful.
Happy moment
We created moments that matter—those small, delightful touches that bring value to fans while boosting our brand awareness. These happy moments turn everyday interactions into memorable experiences.
Design System
In order to maintain the native apps and the website, I start outlining and developing Solar – an all-encompassing design system, including the tone of voice, multi-platform design libraries and react components. It took a while, but it definitely made our day-to-day work way more efficient.
Aside designing the native apps, maintaining the design system, and supporting our frontend developers, there were some truly unique opportunities to expose the brand in a new way, thanks to our international partnerships.
TicketSwap x ADE
TicketSwap x Amsterdam Pride
Our boat was on a beautiful location. Armed with condoms, sunscreen and inflatable tires, we were the lifeguards of Pride 2018.
TicketSwap x Sziget Festival
We partnered with Sziget festival, one of Europe's largest music festivals with a capacity of over 700k, to create the TicketSwap stage. I was responsible for the style we want to communicate and the visual assets.
#ticketswapunderground
We came up with a campaign to create brand awareness in France. I designed a poster that was hung in every single metro station in Paris.
